Columbia Motorsports Park Finds a Great Value Joining the American Speed Association Member Track Program | By: Kevin Ramsell
DAYTONA BEACH, FL (Wednesday, February 25, 2009) – Don & Sandy Nerone have seen many successes at Columbia Motorsports Park in Ellisville, Florida. When Don Nerone was approached about joining the ASA Member Track program, he found a great value behind what the program has to offer not only to his track, but to their competitors as well.
The half-mile banked asphalt oval track known for its wide racing grooves and huge pits is located just south of Lake City, Florida and close to Jacksonville, Gainesville, the Florida Panhandle and south Georgia. The speedway is only a ½ mile from Interstate 75 at exit 414.
Their weekly Saturday night program begins at 7:30 pm and features Super Late Models, Sportsmen, Pure Stocks, Welterweights, Hornets and V-8 Bombers.
The 2009 season will open on March 7th with a Fan Appreciation Night and a week later on March 14th, they will host their first of two “Crash-O-Rama’s.” An event that brings that brings a large crowd to the tracks all over the country.
Columbia Motorsports Park has joined as a Level II participant in the ASA Member Track program for this year.
When Nerone was asked why he joined the ASA Member Track program, he was quick with his answer, “You could not have asked for a better insurance policy at the price they have,” Don Nerone recently stated. “It makes you wonder why many others are not buying this plan, it’s a great plan and it’s affordable for the racers.”
ASA Racing members in good standing will be eligible for a $500,000 Excess Medical Benefit as well as a $20,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Benefit. Coverage for the member assumes the basic guidelines are followed and no exclusions, such as drinking and driving, are violated.
