CRASH-A-RAMA Set and Ready for Friday Night at Orlando SpeedWorld
by Dave Westerman
The annual Fall Crash-A-Rama takes place this Friday night at Orlando Speedworld and a host of wild and crazy events are planned.
As always, the popular School Bus Figure Eight race returns to the track where it was invented several years ago. Up to 25 buses are expected to be in action.
Also, for the first time ever at an Orlando Crash-A-Rama, there will be a Motorcycle Demolition Derby. Two other demos are scheduled, a Front-Wheel-Drive Demo and a Stock V-8 Demo.
Other events include a Chain Race (where the cars will be chained nose to nose), a Pro Roller Derby Race, Boat/Camper Trailer Race, Skid Car Race and Flag Pole Race (where Bomber Bill Loomis will be going for his third consecutive win).
The evening will begin with a big Enduro Race with the number of laps determined by the number of entries. Flyin' Jimmy Elvis will be jumping a camper and Travis Willis will also be on hand with his Motorcycle Daredevils.
The main grandstand will open at 5PM with racing starting at 8PM. General admission is $20.00 for adults with children 7 to 12 $5.00. Kids under 6 are FREE.
For competitors, the pit gate opens at 12 PM with registration and Enduro tech beginning at 3PM.
